Part-Time EYFS Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Part-Time EYFS Teaching Assistant to join the team at a vibrant 2 form entry school in Lichfield, starting in January 2025- working 2-3 days a week.

The school is a nurturing and inclusive learning environment that values the unique abilities and potential of each child- providing a supportive and collaborative atmosphere for both students and staff to thrive and succeed. The school understand the invaluable role that teaching assistants play in enhancing the learning experience for students and offer ongoing professional development opportunities, mentorship, and a supportive team environment to ensure that teaching assistants have the tools and support they need to excel in their roles.

A part-time role offers the perfect balance for individuals looking to pursue other interests or responsibilities while still making a meaningful impact in the classroom. This role allows for flexibility and work-life balance while contributing to the growth and development of young learners. Teaching assistants in an EYFS class are essential in providing individualized support, fostering a nurturing environment, and assisting in the development of crucial early literacy and numeracy skills. They play a key role in promoting a positive and engaging learning experience for young children, setting the foundation for their future academic success.

Responsibilities:
– Supporting the class teacher in planning and delivering engaging lessons
– Assisting with the supervision and care of children in the EYFS setting
– Providing one-on-one support to students who may require additional help
– Helping to create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment
– Collaborating with colleagues and parents to support the holistic development of each child

Requirements:
– Relevant experience working with young children
– A passion for early years education and a commitment to supporting student learning
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team
– A relevant qualification in childcare or early years education is desirable

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
