Part-time KS1 Teacher, Birmingham.

Zest Education is working closely with a large primary school in the Handsworth area that is looking for a Part-time KS1 COVID catch-up teacher. The position will be full time and will start in September 2022. The roll will be initially for two terms however, the school are looking to employ somebody on a permanent basis if the right candidate is found.

The school is on the outskirts of Handsworth and caters for a variety of academic abilities. The school focuses on being a safe, enjoyable, and creative place for children to go and broaden their minds. One of the main focuses at the school is mental well-being and the school tries extremely hard to ensure that all pupils are having fun while learning. The Headteacher believes in an open and creative learning environment which has resonated well with the parents.

Due to the role being in KS1, the successful candidate must be able to hit the ground running. Due to the nature of COVID and how much schooling has been lost, it is important that the successful candidate has good in-depth knowledge of the curriculum and feels they can successfully deliver it to the pupils.

Both NQT’s and experienced teachers will be considered for this position. If you have previous KS1 experience, then this would be advantageous. The successful candidate will be given full support during their job transition.

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
