Zest Education are recruiting exclusively for a number of fantastic learning support assistant roles at a large primary school in Balsall Heath. The classroom support roles will be part time (3 days per week) and will be starting in the new academic year to continue on a long-term basis until summer 2023.

The support roles will be varied across KS1 and KS2 year groups and will be decided upon successful application.

The successful TA’s must:

  • Hold a relevant NVQ Level 2 qualification (or above)
  • Be a reliable, resourceful and resilient individual
  • Have a strong work ethic and positive attitude
  • Be able to engage with and support a broad range of pupils, including a high number of EAL pupils
  • Be consistent in maintaining high standards and behaviour management
  • Demonstrate a sound understanding of the national curriculum

What the role will involve:

  • Working within a fast paced and ever-changing environment
  • Be able to work on a 1-1 basis and small groups to support additional needs
  • Supporting children with core subjects within small groups
  • Be consistent in maintaining high standards
  • Adapting your role to the needs of individual children
  • Providing children with a secure and supportive learning environment

The year groups will be assigned upon successful interview. Having previous experience and/or training in Phonics would be advantageous but is not essential.
