Part time PPA teacher

Job Description

We are currently recruiting on behalf of a vibrant and inclusive primary school in Balsall Heath, seeking a committed PPA Teacher to start in September 2025. This is a part-time role (2 days per week), initially for a minimum of 6 weeks, with the possibility of extension.

The school serves a diverse community with a high number of EAL (English as an Additional Language) pupils and benefits from an on-site resource base to support children with additional needs. It is a warm, welcoming environment where every child is valued and supported to achieve their best. Staff are passionate about delivering inclusive education, and the Senior Leadership Team is both supportive and approachable.

The Role:

  • Providing high-quality PPA cover across year groups

  • Planning and delivering engaging lessons tailored to a diverse student body

  • Supporting EAL learners through clear communication and differentiated strategies

  • Working collaboratively with colleagues to meet the needs of all pupils

Ideal Candidate:

  • Holds QTS and has experience in primary education

  • Confident teaching across EYFS, KS1 and KS2

  • Approachable, flexible and inclusive in their teaching style

  • Understanding of the needs of EAL learners and SEND provision

  • Committed to maintaining a positive and productive learning environment
