Zest Education is recruiting exclusively for a primary school in Edgbaston, who is recruiting for a dedicated part-time TA to join their team. This position is specifically for a Year 2 class, where you will have the chance to support both the class as a whole and small groups, focusing on core subjects and reading.
Starting in January 2024 and continuing until the end of the academic year, this part-time role offers a great opportunity for individuals seeking work-life balance. With the flexibility of three days per week, the days worked can be flexible to work around the successful candidate.
The school itself is a popular 2-form entry, ensuring a dynamic and engaging environment for both staff and pupils. Besides the exceptional teaching and learning facilities, the school also boasts excellent on-site and outdoor amenities, including ample on-site parking, interactive resources throughout school and 2 large outdoor playing fields.
To excel in this role, a passion for working with children and an understanding of their educational needs are essential. The successful applicant must be NVQ Level 3 qualified (or above) in a relevant childcare qualification and knowledge of the Year 2 curriculum would be advantageous. Zest Education is looking for individuals who are patient, compassionate, and able to provide the necessary support to help students thrive academically and emotionally.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
