Part time teacher

Job Description

Are you passionate about education and looking for an new opportunity? Are you looking for a better work life balance? Zest Education is currently recruiting for a part-time teacher position for a primary school in Selly Oak.

Responsibilities:
As a part-time teacher, you will be responsible for covering a mixed Year 5/6 class every Friday. The school will provide all the necessary planning materials, and you will have the support of an experienced Teaching Assistant within the classroom.

Qualifications:
We are seeking a resilient and resourceful individual who possesses a firm but fair approach to teaching. Previous experience working with upper Key Stage 2 classes is highly desirable, as it will be crucial to maintain consistency and provide appropriate support for this particular age group. The successful candidate should be diligent, hard-working, and have a genuine passion for education.

Requirements:
– Relevant teaching qualifications and certifications
– Previous experience teaching in an upper Key Stage 2 environment
– Excellent communication and classroom management skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and support staff
– Strong organisational and time management abilities

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
