Part-time Teacher

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with Autism and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties? We are seeking a dedicated Part-time Teacher to join our team at a special educational needs school in Nuneaton starting ASAP.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

– Create a positive and safe learning environment for students aged 5-18 with Autism and SEMH.

– Foster positive relationships among students and encourage peer interaction.

– Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to meet individual student needs.

– Work collaboratively with small groups and provide one-on-one support.

– Prepare teaching materials, maintain records, and communicate student progress to parents and carers.

– Support student development by promoting confidence, independence, and a love for learning.

– Manage student behaviour effectively and provide ongoing feedback for improvement.

 

Qualifications:

– Experience working with children with Special Educational Needs (SEND) is essential.

– Valid teaching qualification and relevant certifications.

– Strong communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team.

– Resilient, innovative, and dedicated to helping students achieve their full potential.

– Flexible to work 3 days a week (8:30-15:30) with a commitment for the full academic year.
