Job Description

Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a special educational needs school in Bedworth.

Located in a convenient area with excellent transport connections, the school provides a nurturing environment for students aged 7-18 with moderate learning difficulties, including additional needs such as autism, speech, language, and communication difficulties.

As a Learning Support Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting these students on their educational journey. Your responsibilities will include working within small classes of no more than nine pupils, focusing on teaching life skills to promote independence. We are looking for individuals who are committed to empowering each student to reach their full potential.

The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with special educational needs and a genuine passion for helping others succeed. You should be adept at implementing positive behaviour management strategies and able to de-escalate challenging situations with a calm and composed approach.

In this part-time position, you will be required to work 3 days a week, starting in October 2024. Your role will involve carrying out observations to assess student development stages and providing valuable feedback to the Teacher/SENCO.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
