Key Responsibilities:

  • Support pupils across the classroom to enhance learning and engagement.
  • Work 1:1 or with small groups to deliver targeted support.
  • Assist the class teacher with daily routines, preparation, and activities.
  • Encourage positive behaviour, independence, and emotional wellbeing.
  • Contribute to a safe, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.
  • Build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.

 

Candidate Requirements:

  • Experience working with children in a school or similar setting.
  • A positive, patient, and proactive approach.
  • Strong communication and relationship‑building skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a supportive team.
  • A genuine passion for helping children succeed.

The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
