Part-time Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is working in close partnership with a secondary special educational needs school located in Nuneaton. The school are seeking a dedicated and experienced Part-Time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team.

In this role, you will be responsible for providing invaluable support to students aged 11-18 with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in helping these students improve their skills and achieve their educational targets.

Your main responsibilities will include delivering personalised support to each student, tailoring your approach to meet their individual aspirations, needs, and abilities. This may involve working with students on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. By providing consistent guidance, encouragement, and practical assistance, you will contribute to creating a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

To be successful in this role, you should have prior experience supporting individuals with special educational needs or have worked in a similar environment. Your understanding of the unique challenges faced by students with ASC and SEMH will enable you to provide the necessary support and guidance they require.

Working hours for this position are Tuesday to Friday, from 8:30 am to 3:30 pm. This is a long-term opportunity that is due to begin as soon as possible. If you are passionate about making a difference in the lives of students with special educational needs, we encourage you to apply.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
