Pastoral & Family Support Worker – Harrow (NW London)
Full-time | Monday–Friday, 8:30 am–4:00 pm
£90–£110 per day (depending on experience)
Temp-to-Permanent after 14 weeks

Zest Education are partnering with a specialist education provider in Harrow (NW London) to recruit a committed Pastoral & Family Support Worker. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a genuine difference within a close-knit school community supporting children and young people aged 7–16 with Autism (ASD) and Social, Emotional & Mental Health needs (SEMH).

The Role

You will play a key part in strengthening relationships between families, students and the school. Your work will help ensure young people feel understood, supported and ready to engage positively in their learning.

Your daily responsibilities may include:

  • Building trust with families and offering practical guidance or signposting

  • Supporting students with emotional regulation, attendance and engagement

  • Working closely with teaching staff, pastoral teams and external agencies

  • Contributing to safeguarding practices and maintaining accurate records

  • Supporting the wider school community with pastoral initiatives

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience in a pastoral, family support, youth work or similar role

  • Understanding of ASD, SEMH or other additional needs

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships

  • A calm, resilient and compassionate approach

  • Full-time availability, Monday to Friday

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
