PE Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education are recruiting a PE teacher for a thriving secondary school in the Bournville area of Birmingham. This is a full-time position, working within a supportive faculty and school with a Head Teacher that is dedicated to the ongoing improvement of the school and the well-being of its students.

The school is a fast-paced secondary, looking to maintain their already good standards. It offers access to good indoor and outdoor facilities, to allow for creative and fun lessons. The school is based in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for PE and a substantial knowledge of the subject across KS3 and KS4
  • A strong desire to be part of the wider department
  • The ability to control the classroom and the behaviour of the students
  • A creative mind with the ability to adapt lessons as and when needed to suit the needs of the students.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
