Zest Education are working with schools across North Birmingham, with one in Sutton Coldfield currently looking for a PE teacher, the role is starting September 2023 until the the end of the academic year and will be fulltime.

The school has great facilities indoor and outdoor which can make for creative and fun lessons, this is something the school want to encourage as they see physical education as really important for young adults, so making sure they enjoy it is key. They also believe that PE is a great way of boosting confidence in a student that can help them in other subjects and general life.

The successful applicant will be driven, passionate and creative while being able to build relationships with all students. All these attributes will help get the best out of the students, will keeping it enjoyable for both teacher and pupil. We also try and encourage the successful applicant to get involved with extracurricular activities, this shows willing and helps build relationships.

The successful applicant will have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong passion for the subject of PE and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  • A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management
  • Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students
