Zest are seeking to appoint a play worker to work in a busy nursery setting at a primary school in Tamworth. This is a part time role and is due to start in April 2025. The role will be 22.5 hours per week, term time only with days to be confirmed.
You will be working under the direction and instruction of senior staff to provide a safe and stimulating environment for all children within your care.
At this nursery school, they offer nursery provision for children from 2 years of age. From the term after their third birthday, children move into Nursery 2 which prepares them for Reception by beginning to integrate them into some aspects of school life.
They are a community-centred school which nurtures independent, confident learners who are equipped for the future. Working together, they provide a safe, inclusive environment in which every child is a valued member.

No formal childcare qualifications are required for this role, however experience of working with children and good interpersonal skills are essential.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
