PPA Cover Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced PPA Cover Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Burton. This is a part-time role starting immediately, providing support on an ongoing basis.

Located in the heart of Burton, the primary school is known for its strong sense of community and commitment to providing high-quality education for all students. With a warm and inclusive environment, the school values creativity and individuality in both staff and students.

The school understand the importance of support for cover teachers to ensure a smooth transition and effective teaching experience. The leadership team provides comprehensive resources, lesson plans, and support to cover teachers to maintain continuity and achieve positive learning outcomes for students.

Responsibilities of a Cover Teacher:
– Delivering pre-planned lessons in the absence of the regular class teacher
– Maintaining a positive and engaging learning environment
– Providing feedback on student progress to the regular class teacher
– Following school policies and procedures

Requirements:
– Qualified teacher status (QTS) or relevant teaching qualification
– Experience working as a primary school teacher
– Strong classroom management skills
– Ability to adapt quickly to new environments and routines
– Excellent communication and teamwork skills

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
