Job Description

Position: Teaching Assistant
Location: Ashby-de-la-Zouch
Salary: £70+ per day depending on experience
Contract: Immediate start to end of academic year with potential for full-time
Hours: Part-time, 3 days a week (Monday-Wednesday, 8am-4pm)
OFSTED Rating: Good

We are looking for a dedicated and motivated Teaching Assistant to join our close-knit team at a primary school near Ashby-de-la-Zouch. The school values passionate creativity and aims to inspire a love for learning in all students while maintaining intellectual curiosity.

Responsibilities:
– Support the class teacher in day-to-day activities
– Assist pupils in their learning, both in groups and individually
– Lead small group activities to enhance learning outcomes
– Prepare creative displays to showcase student work and achievements
– Assist with administrative tasks to ensure the smooth running of the classroom
– Contribute to creating a welcoming and inclusive school environment

Requirements:
– Level 3 qualification in education or relevant field (preferred but not required)
– Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a primary school setting
– Demonstrated flexibility and willingness to support both teachers and students
– Strong desire for every pupil to succeed and reach their full potential
– Knowledge of safeguarding procedures and commitment to promoting student welfare
