Zest Education are currently seeking enthusiastic Primary School Teachers to work on a day-to-day basis at some fantastic schools in South Birmingham. We work with schools in locations such as Bournville, Solihull, Redditch, Harborne, Tyseley and many more! Working day-to-day gives you the opportunity to experience different learning environments and work with other professionals, as well as have an excellent work/life balance.

Main roles and responsibilities:

  • Carry out and deliver engaging lessons.
  • Contribute to a safe and secure learning environment.
  • Implement and maintain the school’s behaviour policy.
  • Liaise with parents/guardians and senior leaders when necessary.
  • Prepare appropriate learning materials and resources.
  • Promote positive conduct and uphold the school’s aims and ethos.

You must:

  • Hold a valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
  • Have relevant experience teaching in an education-based setting.
  • Own an Enhanced DBS or be willing to obtain one.
  • Have good communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Be passionate about teaching and improving academic success.
  • Solid understanding of the national curriculum.

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
