Primary SEND Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education is delighted to be working with an Outstanding-rated SEND school in Coventry, seeking an enthusiastic and compassionate SEND Primary Teacher to join their dedicated team. This is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate educator who is committed to helping children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities thrive both academically and emotionally. The school offers a nurturing, inclusive, and inspiring environment where every child is encouraged to achieve their full potential, making this a truly rewarding place to teach.

As a SEND Primary Teacher, you will be responsible for planning and delivering engaging, differentiated lessons that meet the individual learning needs of your pupils. You’ll work closely with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to create a positive and structured classroom environment. Other responsibilities include monitoring progress, implementing individual education plans (IEPs), managing classroom behaviour effectively, and maintaining strong communication with parents and carers. You’ll play a key role in developing each pupil’s confidence, independence, and love of learning.

The ideal candidate will hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and have experience working within a SEND or mainstream primary school setting. A strong understanding of teaching pupils with autism, learning difficulties, or complex needs is essential. You should be patient, resilient, and creative in your teaching approach, with excellent communication and teamwork skills. In return, the school offers a highly supportive leadership team, exceptional facilities, and outstanding professional development opportunities.
