Primary Teacher

Job Description

Are you a passionate and dedicated Primary Teacher looking to make a real difference in the lives of students with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties? This special educational needs school in Lichfield is seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team and help support students who have been excluded from mainstream schools or are on preventative placements.

The role is full-time and is due to begin ASAP.

 Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver engaging lessons tailored to the individual needs of students with SEMH difficulties.

– Create a supportive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels safe and valued.

– Work collaboratively with colleagues to develop and implement personalized education plans for each student.

– Monitor student progress, provide feedback, and adjust teaching strategies as needed.

 

 Requirements:

– Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent qualification.

– Previous experience working with students with SEMH/SEN needs.

– Strong knowledge of SEMH principles and effective strategies to support student learning.

– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to engage with students, parents, and colleagues.

– Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment that promotes student well-being.

– Commitment to safeguarding and prioritizing the welfare of children at all times.
