Pupil Support Assistant

Job Description

Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Pupil Support Assistant to join an inclusive and nurturing primary school in Cannock. This role is based within the SEND Specialist Provision, supporting children with complex Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in a mainstream primary school setting.

  • Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with complex SEND needs
  • Work closely with teachers and SENCO to deliver tailored learning strategies
  • Assist with classroom activities, behaviour management, and personalised interventions
  • Support pupils’ academic, social, and emotional development in a safe and inclusive environment
  • Help create a positive, nurturing atmosphere where every child can thrive

  • Previous experience supporting children with SEND in a school or childcare setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Patience, empathy, and resilience when working with children with additional needs
