Job Description

Zest Education is looking for a qualified Early Years Practitioner to join a welcoming and supportive early years setting in Stoke-on-Trent. This is a long-term position, immediate start until February 2026, offering an excellent opportunity for a passionate practitioner to make a lasting impact in a nurturing environment.

You will be working with children aged 0–5, supporting their learning, development, and wellbeing through play-based activities and structured learning. You’ll work closely with other practitioners to create a positive, safe, and stimulating environment that helps every child thrive.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging activities following the EYFS framework
  • Observe, assess, and record children’s development
  • Build strong relationships with children, parents, and colleagues
  • Ensure a safe and inclusive environment at all times
  • Contribute to the overall ethos and success of the setting

About You:

  • Hold a Level 3 qualification (or above) in Early Years or equivalent
  • Have prior experience working within an early years setting
  • Possess excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Demonstrate a nurturing and enthusiastic approach
  • Hold (or be willing to obtain) a valid DBS on the Update Service

Pay & Benefits:

  • £105–£120 per day, dependent on experience
  • Long-term stability with consistent hours (Monday–Friday, 9am–5:30pm)

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
