Are you an RE teacher looking for a new role? Zest is currently recruiting for a full time RE teacher to start April 2024 on a full time basis at a secondary school in Stoke on Trent.

Ideally, the school are looking for a RE teacher who is passionate about their subject and wants to educate young people. Religious Education is one of the most popular subjects within the school and receives a significant uptake at GCSE. The successful applicant would be expected to perform a full and active role within the department, they would be working alongside a committed and professional departmental team.

Ideal candidates should have the following:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of Religious Education and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
  6. Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students.
