Zest Education have the privilege of working closely with a ‘Good’ Ofsted rated school located in the Stoke on Trent area, who are looking to recruit a RE teacher. This is a full-time post with the possibility of extending for the right candidate, the role would be to start in April 2024 for at least one full term, this may be extended should the school decide it is necessary to do so.

The chosen applicant needs to be able to perform the full role with planning and marking as well as excellent behaviour management. You will also become part of the wider RE and Humanities department so other responsibilities may develop with the role.

The school are very pupil focused and spend a large majority of their time making sure the pupils are enjoying the environment they are in. The school believe this it is best way to get the most out of the pupils and that is why the school are highly creative and innovative to make sure they are always improving.

Ideal candidates should have the following:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of RE and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management
  6. Creative and innovative teaching methods, the ability to motivate students.
