Zest Education are working with a secondary school in the Perry Barr area who are seeking to recruit a hardworking, dedicated, and experienced RE teacher.

The academy has recently undergone a £21 million rebuild and aims to support staff to design and deliver an exceptional curriculum experience (which will include a rich and varied extracurricular programme) in each subject area.

The teaching of Religious Education makes links between the beliefs, practices and value systems of a range of faiths and worldviews studied. The schools Religious Education curriculum will help to develop responsibility and respect for all aspects of diversity, whether it be social, cultural and religious.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for the subject of RE and able to teach the curriculum across KS3-KS5
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

This is a full-time role for one academic year starting in September 2022.

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
