Zest Education have been asked to recruit a Religious Education teacher to join a secondary school in south Birmingham, in the Tyseley area for a September 2022 start. Initially this will be a 1 term full-time supply role with potential to extend for the full academic year.

This role is to teach Religious Education KS3 and KS4 with full teacher responsibilities. You will be teaching in line with the school’s curriculum, covering all religions including the big questions and how each religion answers these, respectively.

Teachers are leaders in their classrooms, and the school believe in allowing them to use their knowledge and understanding of their specialist areas to deliver amazing learning opportunities for the students in their care.  With the guidance and support of members of staff within the school, the school seek to deliver a curriculum, which is broad, balanced and inspirational.

The successful candidate must have:

  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS
  • A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  • A strong passion for the subject of RE
  • The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent classroom and behaviour management

 

 

Rate of pay varies dependant on experience.

Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years, teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
