Zest Education is currently recruiting for a full-time reception class teacher for a primary school located on the outskirts of Lichfield. This exciting opportunity is due to start in June 2024, covering a maternity leave.

As a reception class teacher, you will play a vital role in the development of young learners during their crucial early years of schooling. The successful candidate will join a supportive and passionate team of professionals who are dedicated to creating a nurturing and inspiring learning environment.

Key Responsibilities:
– Plan and deliver engaging lessons that cater to the diverse needs of reception students.
– Foster a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere that encourages learning and growth.
– Provide a safe and stimulating environment for children to explore and develop essential skills.
– Collaborate with colleagues to develop an effective curriculum that aligns with the school’s objectives.
– Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and support as needed.
– Communicate regularly with parents, keeping them informed about their child’s progress and any areas for development.
– Ensure compliance with school policies, procedures, and safeguarding measures.

Qualifications and Skills:
– A valid Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.
– Experience working with reception-aged children is essential.
– Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Passionate about fostering a love for learning in young children.
– Ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.
– Strong organisational and time management skills.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
