Science Teacher

Job Description

Zest Education urgently require a Science Teacher for a high performing school in Sutton Coldfield. The role is to start October 2024, full time for a minimum of one half term, with the likelihood of the role being extended.

The school are pupil focused and spend a large majority of their time making sure the students are engaging with the curriculum and achieving their goals by choosing to take a tailored approach to support individual needs. The school believes that the best way for the students to achieve is to have access to creative and innovative resources to enable dynamic learning.

The successful candidate must be a proactive and engaging individual who has proven experience of having strong behaviour management skills and working across a range of KS3 and KS4 groups with some knowledge and experience at KS5 as well. 

The successful applicant will have:

  1. A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  2. A strong passion for the subject of science and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t a necessity)
  3. A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
  4. The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
  5. Strong classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are: Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) and recent school-based experience (teaching within a school teaching the British Curriculum).
