We are looking for a science teacher to inspire students in their understanding and enquiry of science and maximise their opportunities in a science education. The role is full time maternity cover starting in October 2022.
Zest Education are working closely with a secondary school that is continuing to improve and develop in the City Centre of Birmingham. The school is driven by their shared CORE principles, the curriculum gives a broad range of opportunities for students, from all backgrounds, to learn and achieve as well as developing a depth of character around the CORE values.
The school has an Enrichment Programme, were they invite all students to attend a variety of after school activities and clubs. The programme provides students with a range of new experiences, with activities designed to broaden their horizons, and ensure a well-rounded development.
The successful candidate will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- A strong passion for the subject of Science (Biology, Chemistry or Physics) able to teach across KS3-KS4
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience.
