Zest Education are urgently seeking a full time science teacher with a biology specialism to start from January 2024 at a school in the Lichfield area. This role is to last for the rest of the academic year and may lead to a permanent position should the school decide this is necessary.
The school is improving within academic and attainment levels and is continually looking to ensure their students develop into respectable and inspiring individuals. This role is ideal for someone who is looking to take on a new challenge in a new school or complete part of their ECT year. As this is a long-term role it would include planning and marking the lessons so having excellent subject knowledge at KS3 and KS4 is essential, some knowledge at KS5 isn’t essential but would be beneficial.
The ideal candidate will have the following:
- Have a PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS.
- An enthusiasm for science with exceptional knowledge across KS3, KS4 and KS5
- Desire to work as part of a wider team, supporting them as and when they need
- The ability to effectively mark, plan and deliver lessons of a high quality.
- Have classroom and behaviour management experience.
