Zest Education are working closely with a large secondary school in Southeast Birmingham, close to Small Heath. The school have asked us to find a Science teacher, that can teach across KS3-KS4. The position will be full time and will start ASAP, this will be for the rest of the academic year.
This secondary school is situated in a popular area, so is easily accessible by private or public transport. The school is a busy secondary which caters for a broad range of pupils, including a high number of EAL students, and it has a supportive and inclusive ethos across all year groups. The school is continually improving and looking to provide all students with strong life skills.
The successful candidate will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A great team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- A great passion for the subject of Science and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 would be ideal but isn’t essential)
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
Rate of pay will vary dependant on experience.
