Zest Education is looking for a passionate and dedicated SEN Teacher to join a supportive and inclusive mainstream primary school in Loughborough from September 2025. This is a fantastic opportunity for a qualified teacher who is committed to supporting pupils with additional needs and helping them thrive both academically and personally.
Starting in September, this full-time teaching position involves taking responsibility for a class that includes children with a range of special educational needs. You will be expected to deliver differentiated lessons, create a nurturing and inclusive classroom environment, and work closely with the SENCO and support staff to meet individual learning needs.
Planning and delivering engaging, tailored lessons that support all learners
Creating a positive, inclusive classroom environment
Adapting teaching strategies to support pupils with SEN (e.g. autism, ADHD, speech and language needs)
Working collaboratively with teaching assistants, the SENCO, and parents
Tracking progress and contributing to individual learning plans (IEPs/EHCPs)
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Experience working with pupils with SEN (either in mainstream or specialist settings)
Strong understanding of differentiated teaching methods
Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
A calm, patient, and empathetic approach
A current DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

Zest Education are an APSCo audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
