Teaching Assistant

Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of SEND students? Zest is currently recruiting on behalf of a school in Solihull for a SEND Teaching Assistant to join on a full-time basis to start as soon as possible.

The successful SEND Teaching Assistant will play a crucial role in supporting students with profound and multiple learning difficulties.

 

Responsibilities of the SEND Teaching Assistant role:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support to students with profound and multiple learning difficulties
  • Assisting the classroom teacher in implementing strategies to address individual student needs and promote a positive learning atmosphere
  • Supporting students in developing social skills, emotional regulation, and self-esteem
  • Collaborating with other members of the school staff, including SENCOs, to create IEPs

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
