SEND Teacher

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join a supportive and committed team within a specialist education setting in the Stoke area. This role is based within a Key Stage 3 cohort, supporting pupils with a range of complex needs, including moderate to severe learning difficulties, autism spectrum conditions, and associated social, emotional, and communication challenges. The successful candidate will play a vital role in helping pupils develop both academically and personally, within a nurturing and structured environment.

About the Role:

  • Full teaching responsibilities within a KS3 class, including planning, assessment, and delivery
  • Ensure high standards of learning, progress, and pupil welfare
  • Foster a respectful and inclusive classroom environment
  • Collaborate effectively with staff, families, and external professionals
  • Support the safeguarding and wellbeing of all pupils

Requirements:

  • QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
  • Experience or strong interest in working within a SEN setting
  • Strong classroom management and differentiation skills
  • Commitment to promoting pupil progress and high standards
