SEND Teacher – Full Time

Job Description

Our caring and ambitious school in Castle Vale is seeking a dedicated SEND Teacher to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled practitioner who is passionate about inclusive education and committed to helping pupils with additional needs achieve their full potential.

About the Role

The successful candidate will work with pupils who have a range of special educational needs, delivering high‑quality teaching and personalised support. You will collaborate closely with the SENDCo, support staff, and families to ensure every child receives the tailored provision they deserve.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and delivering differentiated lessons that meet the needs of pupils with SEND
  • Creating personalised learning plans in collaboration with the SENDCo
  • Using assessment and observation to track progress and inform next steps
  • Supporting pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development
  • Working closely with support staff to ensure consistent, high‑quality provision
  • Building strong relationships with families to support home–school communication
  • Contributing to wider school life and promoting an inclusive culture

About You

We are looking for someone who is:

  • A qualified teacher (QTS) with experience in SEND or a strong interest in the field
  • Knowledgeable about a range of additional needs, such as ASD, ADHD, SEMH, or speech and language needs
  • Skilled in adapting teaching to meet diverse learning needs
  • Patient, empathetic, and resilient
  • Able to work collaboratively within a supportive team
  • Committed to inclusion and pupil wellbeing
