Job Description

Part-Time SEND Teaching Assistant – Tyseley (Start: November 2025)

Are you passionate about supporting children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) in their learning journey? Do you have experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant and thrive in a collaborative, part-time role? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you!

We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated SEND Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Tyseley. This part-time position (3 days per week) begins in November 2025 and offers a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference in children’s academic and personal development.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with SEND during lessons and daily activities

  • Assist teachers in delivering and adapting lessons to meet individual needs

  • Support the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and behaviour strategies

  • Create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment

  • Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and parents to ensure each child achieves their full potential

Requirements

  • Proven experience working as a SEND Teaching Assistant or in a similar support role

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine passion for supporting children with diverse learning needs

  • Relevant qualifications in education, child development, or SEND support (preferred)
