Zest is currently recruiting on behalf of a school in currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEND Teaching Assistant to join a reputable school in Coseley, supporting a primary-aged student with Autism and SEMH (Social, Emotional and Mental Health) needs on a 1:1 basis.

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting the educational and emotional development of a primary-aged student with Autism and SEMH needs. Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO, you will provide tailored support to help students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.


SEND Teaching Assistant responsibilities:

  • Provide 1:1 support to a primary-aged student with Autism and SEMH needs
  • Assist student with classroom activities and learning tasks, ensuring their engagement and participation
  • Implement individualised education plans (IEPs) and behaviour management strategies to support student progress
  • Collaborate effectively with the class teacher, SENCO, and other members of the school staff to meet the diverse needs of the student

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
