Location: Rugeley, Staffordshire
Start Date: January 2025
Contract Type: Ongoing Supply (Full-Time or Part-Time)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm (Flexible Days Available)

💼 Role Overview:

As a SEND Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Support pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, ADHD, and learning difficulties.

  • Work closely with teachers and other support staff to create a safe, engaging, and inclusive learning environment.

  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to help pupils reach their individual goals.

  • Assist with classroom activities, behaviour support, and personal care when required.


✅ Requirements:

  • Previous experience working with children or young people with SEND is desirable (but not essential).

  • A patient, nurturing, and proactive attitude.

  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.

  • An enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply for one).

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
