About the Role

Zest Education is seeking motivated and enthusiastic Sports Coaches to support a variety of secondary schools across Telford and the surrounding areas. If you’re passionate about motivating young people through sport and physical activity, this role offers an exciting chance to make a meaningful impact across multiple school communities.

We work closely with a number of local secondary schools, many of which have a strong need for reliable, energetic, and confident Sports Coaches. There are immediate opportunities available, making now the perfect time to join our team and gain valuable school-based experience.

Your Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

  • Deliver engaging PE lessons and sports sessions across KS3 and KS4, ensuring sessions are inclusive, safe and enjoyable.
  • Foster a positive learning environment, building strong relationships with students and staff.
  • Support classroom teachers with PE curriculum delivery, assessment, and extracurricular activities.
  • Manage and motivate groups of students, encouraging teamwork, positive behaviour, and a safe, supportive atmosphere where all pupils can thrive.

What We’re Looking For

  • Background in Sports Coaching, PE teaching, or a related discipline
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Relevant coaching qualification (Level 2 preferred)
  • Experience working with young people in either an educational or sports setting
  • An Enhanced DBS certificate, or willingness to apply for one
