SEN Teaching Assistant – Stoke-on-Trent | Full-Time | Immediate Start

Location: Stoke-on-Trent Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am – 3:30pm Contract: Full-time, long-term Setting: Specialist SEND School

🧩 Key Responsibilities

  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support to pupils with special educational needs
  • Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication where required
  • Implement EHCP targets and follow individual learning plans
  • Work closely with teachers, therapists, and support staff
  • Create a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment
  • Use patience, empathy, and resilience to support pupils’ emotional and academic development

🎓 What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant, SEN TA, Support Worker, or Healthcare Assistant
  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND
  • A calm, caring, and proactive approach
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
  • A genuine passion for helping children thrive
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
