Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH)? We have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and enthusiastic teacher to join a special educational needs school located in Rugeley.

 

 Position: Full-Time Teacher

 Start Date: End of October 2024

 Contract Type: Long-term basis

 

 The Role:

As a full-time teacher, you will be responsible for creating a nurturing and inclusive learning environment for students aged 6-19 with special educational needs. Your role will involve utilising your excellent classroom management skills to provide engaging and inclusive lessons that address the diverse needs of our students. You will be expected to effectively communicate with both students and parents, fostering positive relationships and promoting a collaborative approach to education.

 

 Key Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver lessons that cater to the individual needs of students with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

– Monitor and assess students’ progress, providing feedback to promote their growth and development.

– Collaborate with colleagues to develop and implement effective teaching strategies.

– Communicate regularly with parents to discuss students’ progress and address any concerns.

– Participate in school-wide activities and initiatives to contribute to the overall development of the school community.

 

 Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) is essential.

– Experience working with special educational needs is desirable.

– Passion for supporting students with Autism (ASC) and social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH).

– Strong communication skills, both with students and parents.

– Ability to create a positive and nurturing learning environment.
