Job Description

Are you passionate about making a positive impact on the lives of students with special educational needs? Zest Education is currently seeking a dedicated and experienced SEN Teacher to join a special educational needs school in Rugeley.

This long-term position starting in November offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to the growth and development of the students.

As an SEN Teacher at our school, your role will involve teaching a diverse range of subjects to students aged 5-18 with social, emotional, and mental health difficulties (SEMH). Your primary responsibility will be to provide individualised support to each pupil, helping them achieve their full potential and lead fulfilling lives.

Key Responsibilities:

– Teach a varied range of subjects to students with SEMH difficulties

– Plan, prepare, and assess teaching sessions while staying updated on curriculum developments

– Develop and implement individual education plans, assess educational attainment, and set achievable targets for students

– Foster positive relationships with students to enhance their interest and engagement in education

– Create a stimulating and purposeful learning environment inside and outside the classroom

Requirements:

– Hold Qualified Teacher Status

– Proven experience in teaching a diverse range of subjects at a good or outstanding level

– Up-to-date knowledge of current education issues, practices, and curriculum frameworks

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
