We are currently seeking a motivated teacher to join a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) located in Burntwood. This full-time position is set to commence April 2025 and will run throughout the academic year, offering a rewarding opportunity to make a real impact in the lives of young learners.

This co-educational school caters to students aged 7-13 with social, emotional, and mental health needs. The school are committed to providing a nurturing and secure environment where every child feels valued and supported in their learning journey.

As a teacher at this PRU, you will play a crucial role in fostering the development of social, life, and independence skills among our students. While the work may present challenges, the rewards of witnessing growth and progress in the pupils are immeasurable.

We are looking for a self-motivated individual with a creative approach to curriculum delivery. Experience working with young people facing SEMH challenges and complex needs is essential, as is a deep understanding of effective strategies and the importance of building positive relationships.

Applicants must hold a Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), possess a valid DBS and safeguarding clearance, and demonstrate a firm grasp of the national curriculum. Resilience and strong behaviour management skills are also key attributes we are seeking in potential candidates.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
