Zest Education is seeking a dedicated and passionate teacher to join a special educational needs school in Lichfield. This full-time role is set to commence in November 2024 and will run for the entire academic year.
We are looking for a teacher to work with secondary students aged 11-18 who have Autism (ASC) and associated needs. The ideal candidate will have prior experience working with children, exceptional communication skills, and a genuine enthusiasm for education.
Candidates with a background in childcare, special education, or early childhood education are encouraged to apply. Experience in Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) is essential, along with possessing Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
As a teacher at our school, you will need to demonstrate a clear passion for teaching and helping children learn. Utilising applied behaviour analysis to support student learning, creating engaging lesson plans tailored to individual needs, and maintaining excellent punctuality and organisational skills are key responsibilities.
Having an Enhanced DBS on the update service is preferred; however, candidates willing to undergo the process are welcome to apply. Additionally, two references covering the past two years and eligibility to work in the UK are required.

Zest Education are an REC audited agency and are dedicated to safeguarding children. All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
