Zest Education is collaborating with a dedicated special educational needs school in Loughborough to recruit a passionate and experienced SEN Teacher for a full-time role commencing in September 2025.
About the Role:
You will be responsible for delivering tailored educational programs to students with a range of special educational needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Social, Emotional, and Mental Health (SEMH) challenges, and other learning difficulties. Working within a supportive multidisciplinary team, you will create an inclusive and nurturing learning environment that promotes student engagement and progress.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan and deliver individualized lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
Utilize specialized teaching strategies to support students’ academic and personal development
Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and parents to implement effective support plans
Monitor and assess student progress, adjusting teaching methods as necessary
Foster a safe and positive classroom atmosphere that encourages student participation and confidence
Requirements:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Proven experience working with children with special educational needs
Strong understanding of SEN teaching methodologies and best practices
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Patience, empathy, and a genuine commitment to supporting students with additional needs

All candidates must hold an enhanced DBS (or allow us to process one for you) and be registered to the DBS Update Service, be able to provide references to cover the last two years and successfully pass all other necessary safeguarding checks prior to clearance for work.
Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
