Zest Education are seeking an Art and Design Teacher to join a creative art department at a secondary school in the Moseley area. This is a full-time position at a fantastic school that values and encourages artistic expression. The role is due to commence in September 2024 and will run for a minimum on one term, with possibility of further extension.


– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Art and Design or a related subject
– Experience teaching Art and Design at secondary level
– Ability to teach both Art and 3D Design would be beneficial
– Strong knowledge of art history, techniques, and materials
– Ability to inspire and motivate students to develop their artistic skills and creativity
– Excellent communication and organisation skills
– Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues in the department


– Plan and deliver engaging and interactive art lessons that cater to the diverse needs of students
– Teach a range of artistic techniques and processes, including drawing, painting, sculpture, and digital art
– Promote a safe and inclusive learning environment that encourages creative thinking and self-expression
– Assess and provide constructive feedback on student work to support their artistic development
– Collaborate with colleagues in the art department to plan and organise exhibitions and showcases of student artwork
– Stay up to date with current trends and developments in the art and design field
– Participate in staff meetings, professional development opportunities, and other school activities as required
