Teacher of Business

Job Description

Zest Education are seeking a Teacher of Business to join a secondary school in the Kings Heath area. The ideal candidate should have with a strong understanding of business principles and the ability to effectively impart knowledge to students. They should also have a solid foundation in mathematics, as this is considered desirable for this role. This is a full-time role to commence in January 2025. The role is expected to run until the end of the academic year.

Responsibilities:

– Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons on various business topics.
– Teach students about key business concepts such as marketing, finance, accounting, and entrepreneurship.
– Ensure that the curriculum is covered effectively and that learning objectives are met.
– Monitor and assess student progress, providing feedback and guidance for improvement.
– Prepare assignments to evaluate student performance.
– Collaborate with other teachers and staff to enhance the overall quality of education.
– Stay up to date with advancements in the business field and implement relevant changes in the curriculum.
– Promote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages student participation and engagement.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in Business or a related field.
– Strong knowledge of business principles and practices.
– Familiarity with current teaching methods and educational technology.
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
– Ability to motivate and inspire students.
– Organisational and time management skills.
– Proficiency in mathematics, with the ability to teach mathematical concepts related to business.

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
