Teacher of Computing

Job Description

Zest Education are looking to recruit an experienced Teacher of Computing for a secondary school in the Solihull area. The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, marking and delivering engaging lessons to KS3 and KS4 students. This is a full-time role due to commence in September 2024, and the role is expected to run for the full academic year.

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
– Strong knowledge and understanding of computing curriculum at Key Stage 3 level
– Experience in planning and delivering effective lessons
– Ability to assess and provide constructive feedback to students
– Good communication and interpersonal skills
– Passion for education and fostering a positive learning environment

Responsibilities:

– Plan and deliver lessons for Key Stage 3 computing
– Assess and mark students’ work
– Attend staff meetings and professional development sessions
– Collaborate with colleagues to ensure effective delivery of the curriculum

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
