Teacher of Criminology

Job Description

Zest Education are working alongside a secondary school in the Water Orton area who are looking to recruit an engaging Criminology Teacher. This is a full-time role that is due to start in January 2025 and is expected to run until the end of the academic year.

As a Teacher of Criminology, you will be required to educate students about various concepts and theories related to Criminology. This will include helping students develop critical thinking skills, conducting experiments and research, and facilitating discussions and debates on psychological topics.

Applicants who have experience in other Social Science subjects (e.g. Sociology) are also encouraged to apply.

Successful candidates will have:
  • A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
  • A strong enthusiasm for the subject of Criminology and the ability to plan and deliver high quality lessons
  • Excellent knowledge of the KS4 and KS5 curriculum
  • A team ethos and the ability to build strong and professional relationships with both colleagues and pupils
  • Experience in classroom and behaviour management

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum).
