Zest are recruiting for a full time Teacher of English, at a large secondary school in Handsworth to start ASAP. The role will be initially starting on a long-term basis with a view to go permanent in the new academic year.
The successful candidate will be joining a supportive departmental team, that put their students at the centre of all that they do, the school encourage their students every day to learn, be respectful and safe, to prepare them for the future. The school is well situated so is easily accessible by private or public transport.
Successful candidates will have:
- A PGCE or equivalent UK teaching qualification that has awarded them QTS or QTLS
- A strong passion for the subject of English and excellent subject knowledge across KS3 and KS4
- A team ethos and want to be part of a strong team environment
- The ability to plan, mark and deliver high quality lessons (planning and marking only for short/long term placements).
- Strong classroom and behaviour management
Rates of pay will vary dependant on experience.
Both newly qualified teachers (NQT) / Early careers teachers (ECT) and experienced teachers will be equally considered for this role.
