Teacher of History

Job Description

Zest Education are currently seeking a passionate and dedicated History teacher to join a fantastic secondary school in the Halesowen area. The school has a strong reputation and are committed to providing a supportive learning environment for their students. This is a full-time role, where you will be responsible for teaching students across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. They are looking for someone who is confident in their subject knowledge and can effectively engage students. The role is due to commence in January 2025.

Key responsibilities:

– Delivering high-quality, engaging lessons to students across KS3 and KS4
– Planning and preparing lessons in line with the national curriculum
– Assessing and evaluating student progress and providing feedback
– Ensuring a safe and inclusive learning environment for all students
– Collaborating with other members of the department to share resources and best practices

Requirements:

– Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
– Experience teaching History to KS3 and KS4 students
– Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
– Strong subject knowledge and a passion for History
– Ability to motivate and inspire students to achieve their full potential
– Commitment to upholding the school’s high standards and ethos

Salary is dependent on experience, training, or qualifications. The minimum experience, training, or qualifications required for this position are recent school-based experience (within the last 5 years within a school that teaches the British Curriculum) and/or care-based experience within the last 5 years.
